A wedding to remember at Groote Post
Lovingly restored, the antique filled restaurant is located in the Manor House which is set on a rolling lawn overlooking the cellar with a courtyard area covered by vines.
Daytime weddings have become very popular at the farm. The service can be held on the lawn or on the rocks overlooking the Ceremonial Bell. Guests are entertained outdoors and lunch is served in the Manor House. Numerous photo opportunities exist.
We do not charge a venue hire fee and all award winning wines are sold at only a very small mark-up which helps when one is working to a budget. We believe we are the only venue to have such a small mark-up on their wine prices. Hiring costs are passed on directly to the Client (should this be required). This dependent on guest numbers and style of wedding expected and we levy a 10% service fee on the final account.

We try all we can to ensure that each wedding we host is tailor-made to each couple’s own interpretation for their special day and strongly recommend a site visit when we can discuss your requirements in more detail.

Smoked trout and new potato salad with a lemon dressing Grilled leg of lamb with a fresh mint and tomato dressing, potato dauphinois and seasonal veggies Lemon tart with cream

A selection of Darling cured meats with homemade relishes and flatbreads Roast fillet with a creamy mushroom sauce, rosemary roast potatoes and veggies Pear and dark chocolate tart with a vanilla bean ice cream

A choice of 3 canapés- salmon potato cakes, onion tarts, pea and potato samoosa’s, pork chipolatos, parmesan shortbreads, mushroom arancini
For the mains:
Platters of roast chicken served with a sweet spiced mushroom and rice pilaf Roast fillet with a puttanesca sauce and parmesan new potatoes Tomato and courgette loaves
A choice of 2 savoury tarts: Butternut and rosa tomato, spinach, mushroom, potato and goats cheese, aubergine parmigiana torte, curried cauliflower cheese phyllo
Tabouleh style salad with pearl barley
Classic Greek salad
Green leaf salad
Beetroot, orange and bocconcini salad
For dessert:
A selection of 3 small desserts
Crème brûlée, pavlova and fresh fruit, chocolate brownies, lemon tarts, mini milk tarts, sticky toffee pudding Tea and coffee

Hi Shaun and Debbie, I just thought I would send you a few pictures from the wedding. And also to say thanks again for making our day so amazing. We enjoyed every moment from the setting up to all the fun we had with our family and friends. And knowing that you 2 were taking care of everything in the background meant we could just relax and savour the moments. It really felt like we didn't have to worry about a thing and I know this is because you 2 (and your terrific staff) were working really hard!
And the food! I wish I could have the day over just so I can eat that delicious food again. It was by far the best wedding food I have ever eaten. Every single thing was so delicious and so many of our guest have commented on it and said how fantastic it was.
