Welcome to Gåte Restaurant in Stellenbosch. The gateway to an extraordinary dining experience and a delightful puzzle to be decoded.

This is the promise of our Quoin Rock fine-dining experience at our restaurant, Gåte, pronounced “gah-tey”.

The Norwegian origin of the word translates as ‘the entrance of a labyrinth’ or a ‘riddle’, symbolising a portal to an extraordinary dining experience and a delightful puzzle to be decoded. Seating only 40 people, Gåte provides an intimate and inspiring fine dining experience as one of the best restaurants in Stellenbosch
